Course Description

Math 215B will cover a variety of topics in differential topology including: Basics of differentiable manifolds (tangent spaces, vector fields, tensor fields, differential forms), embeddings, tubular neighborhoods, intersection theory via Poincare duality, Morse theory. Prerequisite: 215A

Homework Assignments

Homework will be posted here on an ongoing basis (roughly a week before they are due) and will be due in to the grader on the date listed. Please submit your homework as a pdf file to the grader via email. (Darius's email is at the top of this page.) You may handwrite your homework if you like, but it must be neat, and scanned as a pdf file. Late homeworks will not be accepted.

You are encouraged to discuss problems with each other, but you must work on your own when you write down solutions.
