Title: Hurwitz spaces and number theory
Abstract: In the talk we'll play with Hurwitz spaces and some of the related mathematics. I will emphasize an application to number theory. (Here is a warm-up exercise, which we'll do in the lecture: what are all the quintic polynomials with critical values 0, 1, 2, and -2?)
