Abstract: While smooth manifolds are perhaps the most commonly studied geometric objects, there are many other natural types of spaces, including manifolds with boundary and corners, or with other stratified structures, e.g. polyhedra, singular varieties, etc. I will describe some of geometric and analytic problems on such spaces, and sketch some of the new methods being used to study them.
