The Noetherian Ring at Stanford

WIM Lunch, May 2015
The Noetherian Ring at Stanford is a supportive community of women and gender minorities in the Department of Mathematics at Stanford University. Originally called Women in Mathematics, its members are faculty, postdocs and graduate students in our department.

Activities include organizing the Beatrice Yormark Distinguished Lecture Series, quarterly Noetherian Ring lunches, and informal discussions of issues facing women in mathematics or other current topics of interest to the women in our department.

The Stanford Undergraduate Noetherian Ring invites women undergraduates interested in Mathematics to events aimed at creating a supportive community, providing an opportunity to meet other women and gender minorities that love math, including graduate students, postdocs and faculty in the Mathematics Department.

Stanford's Noetherian Ring activities are supported in part by a generous donation from Justin Walker, in memory of his late wife, Beatrice Yormark.

If you are interested in donating to the Noetherian Ring, please send us a message.
