The  online text will be from time to time updated and expanded

 The class  will also be  using the Piazza system: www.piazza.com.
All students registered for the class received an invitation to join the system.
Please do that because I will be using it for announcements and corrections.
Piazza is a question-and-answer platform specifically designed to get you answers fast.
They support LaTeX, code formatting, embedding of images, and attaching of files.
You can use  Piazza for  asking questions, as well as answering questions of your classmates.
Please never hesitate to ask questions. Your questions will also benefit other students.
The instructor and the TA will be monitoring  all the discussions on Piazza.

The weakly homework  will be posted online each  Friday and collected in class the Friday in a week.

The problem sessions taught by Ian Petrow will be on the following dates:

January 17, 23, 27; February 6, 13, 21,   March 1, 12,13
