I will describe a trace formula due to Fulton in coherent cohomology of smooth, proper varieties over finite fields. As a special case, we'll see a weak soft of "Lefschetz fixed point formula" in coherent cohomology, with applications to counting rational points of varieties over finite fields. Time permitting, I will also describe generalizations due to Katz and Deligne
