Stanford University Topology Progress Seminar 2007-8

Unless otherwise noted, all seminars are on Wednesdays at 4:00 pm in Room 381-T (Basement of Math Building, Bldg 380).
Not to be confused with the stanford topology seminar, the topology progress seminar is intended as a forum for students and postdocs to speak about their work in an informal style.

Autumn 2008 Schedule

October 1, 2008

Speaker: Fei Han

Title: Some recent progress on the Stolz-Teichner program

Abstract:

The Stolz-Teichner program aims to relate supersymmetic QFTs to generalized cohomology theories. In the talks, I will briefly introduce the program and discuss some recent progress which leads to the quantum interpretation of some classical concepts in topology like de Rham cohomology, K-theory and Chern character etc.
