Hi, I'm Amy and I'm a mathematics PhD student at Stanford, aiming to graduate in summer 2014. My work is a quirky mix of linear algebra, algebraic combinatorics and probability, and my advisor is Persi Diaconis. I also like representation theory / Lie theory and non-Euclidean geometry.

My office is 381F, on the first floor.

Seminars I attend regularly:
RT \cup QA (quantum groups)
SPRFS (student probability)
FARS (faculty area of research)
KIDDIE (graduate student colloquium)
BADMath (bay area discrete maths)

I'm currently organising Stanford Women in Math (SWiM) with Nancy, Isabelle, and Catherine ('14). Charlotte helped us in 2011-2012. If you're a Stanford undergrad, female, and mathy, sign up here. (Grads and postdocs are welcome too, I'll email you separately.)
In summer 2010 and 2011, I organised weekly summer tea.
In 2010-2011, I co-ran KIDDIE Colloquium with Cary.

For freshmen and sophomores.
