about research expository teaching links |
I'm a PhD student at Stanford University's Department of Mathematics, aiming to graduate in summer 2014. My advisor is Persi Diaconis. I'm interested in algebraic combinatorics and Markov chains; see my research page for more information, or come talk to me at FPSAC in Paris in June 2013. My office is 381F, on the first floor. I'm fairly busy in Spring 2013 so I'll rarely be there outside of office hours, please contact me by email instead. In Spring 2013 I am teaching Math51. See also my page. I am taking Persi's class on Markov chains, and will post scans of my lecture notes here periodically, probably on Thursdays. Contents, weeks 1 and 2, week 3. Seminars I attend regularly: RT \cup QA (quantum groups) SPRFS (student probability) FARS (faculty area of research) KIDDIE (graduate student colloquium) BADMath (bay area discrete maths) |
