Representation Theory and Symplectic Algebraic Geometry

Organizers:

Joel Kamnitzer, University of Toronto

Tony Licata, IAS/Australian National University

Nick Proudfoot, University of Oregon

Symplectic algebraic varieties are a rich class of algebraic varieties that have received much attention from physicists, representation theorists, and algebraic geometers over the last decade.  This conference gathers researchers with an interest in symplectic algebraic geometry, with the goal of giving such researchers an opportunity for intensive interaction with other mathematicians with common interests and complementary points of view.

Centre International de Rencontres Mathématiques, Marseille, France, July 9–13, 2012.

Information about travel to and from the CIRM can be found here.  The conference will start on Monday morning and conclude in the early afternoon on Friday.
