Current CV (2006)

Some background:

I am now at the University of Colorado in Boulder. Here is my new website.

I am a Szegö assistant professor at Stanford University. I graduated Spring 2004 from University of Wisconsin-Madison where my advisor was Arun Ram, and I received my B.A. degree in Spring 1999 from Macalester College.

Research Interests:

I work within the realm of combinatorial representation theory, attempting to connect combinatorial objects (such as partitions, tableaux) to algebraic structures (such as finite groups of Lie type and their Hecke algebras).

Please contact me if you are interested in talking in Stanford's Representation Theory Seminar.

My research statement (2006), publications and preprints.

Teaching:

Spring quarter, 2007:
Math 108: Combinatorics
Math 156: Representation Theory

Previously I've taught:
Math 42: Calculus
Math 51: Linear algebra and differential calculus of several variables
Math 103: Matrix theory and its applications
Math 108: Combinatorics
Math 120: Abstract algebra
Math 156: Representation Theory

Here is my statement of teaching philosophy (2006).
